There is also some yellow text that reads “Selfie Check.” When you start recording, the frame and text goes away and three lines of text are added to the right of your face. Each line cycles through nice adjectives that compliment your selfie. Eventually the words will stop changing and you will get the three words that describe your selfie. How to Get The Selfie Check Filter on Instagram!

Unlike the Rate My Face Instagram filter, the Selfie Check filter is available to add on Instagram. You do have to add it manually but it is not difficult at all. Here are some simple step by step instructions that will help you get the Selfie Check Instagram filter.

1. The first thing you need to do to get the Selfie Check filter on Instagram is go to the creator’s Instagram profile. His username is: belzeburp.
2. Once you make it to his profile, tap on the smiley face icon in the middle of the screen just above his posts.
3. Tapping on the smiley icon will bring up all the filters that the creator has posted. Now tap on the Selfie Check filter.
4. When you tap on the filter, you will be presented with a preview of the filter applied to the creator’s face. On this screen you need to tap the save effect button that is located in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This button is circled in red in the image below!

Once you have saved the effect you can use it whenever you want. To use the Selfie Check Instagram filter just open up the Instagram app and select it. The Selfie Check filter should be the first filter to the left of the record button.

You have probably seen people post videos on the popular app TIkTok using the Selfie Check filter. When I saw this I was a bit confused but now it all makes sense. It is impossible to use the Selfie Check filter directly on the TikTok app. Anyone who has posted the Selfie Check filter on TikTok first recorded the video on Instagram, then moved the using the filter to TikTok. Hopefully TikTok adds more filters like this to their app in the future.
